November 12: Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Packing Day
Once again we collected shoe box items throughout the year, with a different list of suggested items for each month.
Shoebox packing will be done on Sunday, November 12, in Fellowship Hall, following the worship gathering. The packed and wrapped shoeboxes will be delivered to the local distribution center later that day.
November 12: Kingdom Kids Volunteer Teacher Training
The Christian Education Board will host a training program for all current Kingdom Kids volunteers (teachers and assistants) and for anyone (adult or youth) who thinks they might like to be involved in this ministry now or in the future as a teacher or assistant.
This 90-minute event is presented by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). Two 45-minute topics will be covered:
- Teachers Who Touch Lives (A look at the teacher)
- Foundations for Life (Bible verses–More than memorizing)
The class will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the Kingdom Kids classroom downstairs in the Education Wing (across from the Nursery). Attendees are asked to bring their own lunches and drinks will be provided. CEF requests a $10 donation to cover their materials, but don’t let that prevent you from attending – talk to Carolyn Abbott.
November 19: Thanksgiving Sunday Service
Bethany celebrates Thanksgiving on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. It is a time of giving testimonies of praise and thanksgiving, special music, and traditional hymns.

December 3: First Sunday in Advent
This Sunday we begin a journey together toward the First Advent, the birth of Christ.
After the worship gathering, the CE Board will host a family Advent activity, making a gingerbread house, in Fellowship Hall. Those wishing to participate may sign up in the Commons.
