Rick & Myla Berry Serve in Thailand

Rick and Myla Berry are serving with Converge in the Thai Buddhist Initiative. Thailand is one of the largest unreached nations in the world and presents a great opportunity for Kingdom impact: A predominantly Buddhist country with 64 million people, Thailand is only 0.4 percent Christian. A truly unreached/under-reached place. A gospel movement is beginning in Thailand, and the Thailand Initiative is planning to be a big part of it. Two years ago, we had 5 missionaries working in Bangkok, today we have 12 global workers with 2 more raising support to join the team. Joyce Fleck is a third who began her ministry in Thailand in early January, 2024, after departing from Boston, MA, on January 7. She is just getting settled there & is looking for strategically located living quarters near her place of ministry and language study in Thailand.

We’re ministering to the urban poor, reaching out to the sex workers of Bangkok, building a training center on the border of Thailand and Laos, strengthening our work in the Northern provinces, starting churches with English centers, sponsoring sports ministry, engaging the deaf church of Bangkok and, maybe most importantly, we’ve reenergized our relationship with long-time Thai partners to train the next generation of Christian leaders.
